To benefit from PlanSense’s plan management, ensure that your NDIS plan includes ‘Improved Life Choices.’ Request this inclusion in your planning meeting or review, and we will handle the setup process, supporting you through the transition to plan management. If your current plan lacks Improved Life Choices, a review can be requested, though this may take some time.

While direct facilitation of the transition is not provided, PlanSense is here to guide you on what to discuss when contacting your NDIA planner or LAC to initiate the change from agency to plan management.
With plan-managed budgets, simply choose the service providers you’d like to engage and have them invoice PlanSense for the services received. Our budget coaches will work closely with you, discussing your plan and helping you make purchases aligned with your goals.
PlanSense, being completely independent, does not endorse specific services. We believe in providing you with choice and control over your purchased services. Utilize online search platforms to discover the best providers that align with your unique needs and preferences.
To engage with PlanSense for plan management, it’s necessary to have ‘Improved Life Choices’ included in your NDIS plan. The process for joining us is simple. Visit our contact us page, and provide basic information in our form, participant NDIS number, date of birth, and address. Alternatively, send us an email with essential details, including your full name, NDIS number, plan dates, and ideally, a copy of your plan. Then, a member of the PlanSense team will reach out to guide you through the service agreement and complete your sign-up.
Certainly! You have the flexibility to change plan managers at any point. If you wish to transfer to PlanSense from another plan manager during your current plan, contact the NDIA at 1800 800 110 to inform them of the change. Additionally, request your previous plan manager to cancel their service booking and reduce available funds to zero to facilitate a smooth transition to PlanSense.
Claiming payment with PlanSense is a straightforward process with three available options. Your providers can directly send invoices to us, or you can email us the invoice once you’ve received it. Alternatively, submit the invoice directly through our app or online portal. Personal reimbursement with a receipt or uploading an invoice for provider payment takes just a few minutes through our mobile apps, accessible for free to PlanSense clients on the App Store and Google Play. For email submissions, forward your invoices and receipts to our Accounts Team for efficient processing.
If you’re currently a non PlanSense client with an updated NDIS plan, contact our team via email with a copy of your new plan attached.
While we value collaboration with support coordinators, the sign-up process can only be completed by recognized guardians or authorized nominees. We encourage support coordinators to guide their clients through the sign-up process, and our team is available to assist or address any queries.
At PlanSense, we prioritize the detection and prevention of fraud. We have robust controls in place, such as notifying you via text whenever we receive an invoice from a provider. This allows you to temporarily halt the payment for investigation if necessary. If you suspect fraud, you can reach out to the provider, the NDIS Fraud Reporting Hotline, the NDIS Commission, report scammers on the ACCC website, or contact the police. PlanSense clients can also contact us for further guidance.
Typically, the NDIA prefers direct communication with participants. If you want PlanSense to communicate with the NDIA on your behalf, you’ll need to provide consent, and the feasibility will depend on your individual circumstances.
PlanSense initiates an initial one-off cost (per plan) on the day of sign-up, followed by monthly fees on the first day of each month. The NDIA covers these fees when ‘Improved Life Choices’ is requested in your plan.
